Change Lead | Program Management Office (PMO)

Location: Brisbane CBD
Pay: $108.42 per hour
Contract: Until June 30 + potential for extension

The Opportunity

Are you a change management specialist who thrives on driving organisational readiness and leading complex transformations? Join a diverse and dynamic division dedicated to enhancing community safety through specialised service delivery.

In this role, you will provide specialist change management leadership to ensure the successful delivery of key projects within a significant reform agenda. You will drive organisational readiness, lead stakeholder engagement, and ensure the effective adoption of new processes and technologies across diverse operational environments. Working closely with the PMO, you will deliver end-to-end change activities to support a smooth transition to new ways of working.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and execute change management activities to support the implementation of initiatives across various locations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Integrations Manager to ensure business readiness activities are planned, actioned, and monitored.
  • Develop and implement contemporary, best-practice change management plans in collaboration with project leadership and sponsors.
  • Socialise and embed changes by working collaboratively with project teams, business units, and change champions.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the agency to manage expectations and support the change process.
  • Implement targeted communication and engagement strategies to ensure all stakeholders are informed and embrace the change.
  • Provide expert advice to project and program leadership on change progress, observations, and transition risks.

About You

  • Strategic Expertise: Proven ability to provide high-level advice to leadership regarding change progress and risks.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in delivering change, communication, and engagement strategies within a large-scale project environment.
  • Methodological Knowledge: High-level knowledge of contemporary, best-practice change management and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written skills with experience creating diverse collateral, from online content to formal Government-style documents.
  • Adaptability: The ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of business changes resulting from significant transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with business units to deliver tailored and strategic change products.

Highly Regarded Qualifications & Experience

  • Formal qualifications in Change Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management, or Business.
  • Change management certification with a recognised professional body.
  • Tertiary degrees or diplomas in Law, Justice, Psychology, or Social Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in project/change management activities within a justice or human services environment.
